Brass Offering Bowl Set
Historically it was said that devotees would offer travelling monastics clean water for drinking and bathing as well as, flowers incense, light, fragrance and music. This ritual of respect became widely known as the eight auspicious offerings, symbolising the ripening of the Buddhas teachings into the world. These offerings are today now traditionally offered each day in the form of seven bowls and one butter lamp on the shrine/alter of devotees.
